The Need:Henan Provincial People’s Hospital is located at No. 7 Weiwu Road, Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, with a building area of approximately 93334 square meters. Henan Provincial People’s Hospital, as a tertiary comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, prevention, and rehabilitation, has a bed capacity of 340 and a continuous and stable demand for hot water. The current hot water supply system has certain limitations in terms of energy consumption cost and environmental benefits, and it is urgent to choose a solar+air energy system with significant advantages such as high efficiency, energy saving, green environmental protection, and stable supply.

The Challenge:

★Cross contamination of water quality: sterile water supply is required in areas such as operating rooms and ICUs.

★There are special requirements for the noise generated by the system to avoid affecting the patient’s rest or the accuracy of medical equipment (such as MRI machines).

Configuration: 3,000 solar collectors + 3 sets of 25HP air-source heat pumps + 40-ton water tanks

★The water storage system is regularly heated to above 70 ℃ to kill bacteria, and the pipeline is made of stainless steel material to suppress the production of microorganisms.

★System design for partitioned water supply: separate pipeline systems are set up for medical and living areas to avoid cross contamination of water quality.

★The relevant personnel of the Root Hospital conducted on-site communication, placed the equipment on the roof far away from sensitive areas, and installed soundproof covers and shock absorbers. The hot water pipes are all connected flexibly to reduce vibration.
